Reading Eric's comments about Vicki brings back so many fond memories for me and I'm sure all of us. I felt she was in some ways the female version of Harry Bobin-sort of the focal point for so many of our get togethers and part of the fun. Coming home from Tack-L-Tyers, my favorite part time gig during my 5th year at ETHS I would always swing by Vicki's in my '58 Chevy Bel Air. Before that my mom's '55 Ford Sunliner. One night after way too much to drink, probably outside Plant Room Vicki let me stay on the coach rather than risk a ticket or worse. She always had a smile on her face and was always so genuine and personable. One of the best things about Facebook is it brought she and so many of us back together again. Vicki was a fellow Gemini and the last thing she messaged me on FB, after writing her about my rememberance of always driving by her place was, "I didn't know that. Well if ever in Denver drive by and come in!!!!" Such a sweet lady, hurts a lot to know she is no longer with us...
I have missed these comments over the years about Rick, who to this day I consider one of my closest friends, ever. I didn't hear about the tragedy that took Ricky's life until after I left home, while in the service. He and I spent many early mornings, riding our bikes to Wilmette Pier in the dark but returning with some serious additions to our parents freezers-we both loved to fish, (mom was just learning how my new camera worked but I was part of that perch-fest and they were quite good, fried!). Fond memories...

I spoke with Steve a few minutes ago. All things considered he sounded well. This loss was no surprise as Geri had basically been fighting her cancer for 35 years. I am so glad Nancy and I got to visit Waco and the wonderful country home Steve and Geri lived in, right on the Brazos River. We spent a couple days with them and thoroughly enjoyed every moment, reminiscing and discussing plans for the future. Steve's obituary to Geri was beautiful. Know how much he will miss his "Ger" but he fortunatey lives among a very supportive community...
